You don't typically see touchscreens in this price point, and if you have no need for one, you might be paying for something you don't need. But if you want an all-purpose laptop for a family, this is perfect. It is completely thorough and consistent with respect to features and functionality - It leaves nothing lacking when it comes to the standards you expect from a mid-priced laptop. Here's where it goes above the standards: 1. It has a more had drive space than others - that ITB is so good for movies and home videos. 2. what sets it out as the perfect family laptop - the touch screen is also just great for kids who are exposed to tablets and other touch-screen devices. So while I use the keyboard, it's great that the touchscreen is so intuitive for my daughter as well.
